🌳 Trees: Keep Them Safe and Standing Strong
Trees are a big part of what makes Larkspur beautiful. They provide shade, support wildlife, and help preserve our natural environment. But they also come with responsibilities—especially when it comes to safety.
🛠️ On Your Property
As a property owner, you are responsible for ensuring that trees on your land are healthy and not posing a danger to people or neighboring properties.
-
Regularly inspect your trees for signs of disease, decay, or structural weakness.
-
Remove or trim any limbs that could fall and cause damage or injury.
-
Consider hiring a certified arborist for large trees or more complex situations.
Keeping your trees safe is not just a good neighbor policy—it helps prevent serious accidents and property damage.
📣 On Reserve Land or Public Areas
If you notice a dead, damaged, or dangerous tree on municipal reserve land, along a pathway, or in public spaces:
📧 Report it to the Summer Village Administration right away at
[email protected]
or call the CAO at 780-239-7323.
Don’t attempt to cut or remove trees on public land yourself—these must be assessed and handled by the Village.
By working together to monitor and maintain the trees in our community, we can ensure that Larkspur stays safe, scenic, and full of healthy greenery for years to come.
Let’s all do our part—one tree at a time!
