đźš— Traffic & Parking: Safety First in Larkspur
The roads in the Summer Village of Larkspur are narrow, shared by vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and often children at play. To help protect everyone and preserve the condition of our roadways, the Village has adopted rules for safe driving, responsible parking, and proper vehicle use.
🚦 Speed Limits
-
The maximum speed limit in Larkspur is 30 km/h on all roads—unless otherwise posted.
-
Please slow down when approaching corners, pedestrians, or recreational areas.
🛑 Stop Signs & Yield Signs
-
Stop and yield signs are posted throughout the community, especially where smaller crescents intersect with Larkspur Drive.
-
Watch for 3-way stops at the north and south ends of Larkspur where East/West Road Allowances meet the Village.
-
Always come to a full stop and look both ways before proceeding.
đźš« Parking Rules
-
No parking zones may be established with permanent or temporary signage. Please respect posted restrictions.
-
Do not park in a way that blocks traffic or private property access. You may only block your own driveway.
-
Vehicles parked illegally may be ticketed. The fine for a parking violation is $35, payable within 21 days.
⚖️ Weight Restrictions
-
A 75% road ban is in effect for vehicles rated three tons or more when “75%” signage is posted.
-
Emergency vehicles, water trucks, heating fuel trucks, and sewage disposal trucks are exempt from this restriction.
-
These bans help protect our roads during soft ground conditions (e.g., spring thaw).
Let’s work together to keep our roads safe, clear, and in good condition for all who live in or visit Larkspur. Please drive with care and park with respect!
