🌲 Reserve Lands: Respecting Shared Spaces

The Summer Village of Larkspur is home to beautiful natural and recreational areas, including municipal and environmental reserves, pathways, and other public lands. These spaces are here for all of us to enjoy—and it's up to all of us to protect and respect them.

The Summer Village of Larkspur has a Use of Public Lands Bylaw 21-2 to Regulate these.

What Are Reserve Lands?

“Public Lands” in Larkspur include:

  • Environmental Reserves and Natural Areas

  • Municipal Reserves (often used as open space or recreation areas)

  • Road allowances and rights-of-way

  • Any land titled to or managed by the Summer Village

These lands are not extensions of private property, and unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

âś… What You Can Do:

  • Enjoy reserve lands for day use—walk, explore, picnic, and appreciate nature.

  • Report hazards or misuse to the CAO at [email protected].

  • Store docks and lifts seasonally—but only with written permission from the CAO under the Temporary Seasonal Docks and Lifts Bylaw.

Enforcement & Reporting

Bylaw and Peace Officers are empowered to issue warnings, Violation Tags, or Violation Tickets. Fines and orders may be issued per day if the violation continues.
